The Mayor of Madrid, Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón, inaugurated the Cuatro Caminos underpass, which substituted the flyover constructed in 1969 connecting Avenida de Reina Victoria with Raimundo Fernández Villaverde Street with the aim to save the roundabout which Split the districts of Tetuán and Chamberí. The new underpass is 540.0m in length and has the capacity to absorb the 70,000 vehicles which used the previous flyover.
